Abstract

1297915 Containers SUMACON Ltd 9 Dec 1969 [6 Dec 1968] 57989/68 Heading B8P A container having an endless side wall 2 is reinforced at the corners by struts 3 retained by straps 9 formed from the side wall 2. The struts are located in rectangular recesses 10 in the base 1 and bracing members 11 are removably retained in rebates 12 in the upper ends of the struts 3. The base 1 may comprise a wooden pallet (as shown), or a sheet of hardboard or plywood, the struts 3 may be of wood, metal or rolls of cardboard, and the side wall 2 may be of corrugated cardboard, plastics sheets. or light metal sheets and may be secured to the base by stapling, pinning or by metal bands. The container may be provided with flanged top secured by staples or metal bands.
