1297769 Endless chain conveyers GUENTHER SYSTEMS Inc 9 Feb 1970 [11 Feb 1969] 9828/72 Divided out of 1296714 Heading B8A An endless chain conveyer comprises at least two telescopically mounted frame sections 154, 158. The conveyer has at least two pairs 162, 164, of movable endless support members and at least four series of spaced apart guide members (one series 166, 168, 172, 174, 176 respective to each member of the pair of support members 162, the other series 166<SP>1</SP> , 170<SP>1</SP>, 174<SP>1</SP>, 176<SP>1</SP> respective to members 164). Load carrying platforms 178a-178g extend between the support members and are flexible about an axis below their normal load supporting plain surface. In this way the platforms can remain planar with changes of direction between adjacent horizontal and vertical load-carrying runs, but are able to bend around guide members 166, 166<SP>1</SP>, 174, 174<SP>1</SP> , 176 , and 176<SP>1</SP>. As shown, there are further retractable sections 150, 152, and 160. The extension of sections 158, 160 is permitted by the retraction of sections 150 and 152, and vice versa. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) in which there are vertically movable telescopic sections, there is a system of extensible pulleys provide to compensate for the necessary changes in length of the guide members.
