1284448 Connection boxes M-V EQUIPMENT CO Ltd 24 Aug 1970 [23 May 1969] 26355/69 Heading H2E An electrical socket outlet 10 for flushmounting in a floor comprises a box 11 open at the top, brackets 19 supporting horizontal removable partition 20, sockets such as 3-pin socket 23 and telephone socket 24 being secured in partition member 20 with the supply leads to the sockets brought through conduits 15, 16, a flanged frame 31 adjustable vertically in the open side of the box having a shoulder 33 supporting closure plate 37, with provision for a grommet 41 permitting leads 25, 26, 27 to pass out to the equipment. The flange of frame 31 bears against carpet 32 when the frame is screwed on to box 11 and the piece of carpet removed to accommodate the unit may be relaid on the cover. Grommet 41 can be inverted when not in use so that a surface 47 is flush with the floor. As shown, a vertical partition 17 separates telephone wiring from the power cables, and also aids in supporting horizontal partition 20. In another embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown) there is no horizontal partition, but two vertical partitions, one removable. This embodiment further illustrates levelling screws for adjusting the position of the unit relative to the floor level.
