Abstract
1276558 Magnetic switches OMRON TATEISI ELECTRONICS CO 28 Nov 1969 [29 Nov 1968] 50393/71 Divided out of 1276557 Heading H1N A snap-action magnetic switch has a resilient magnetic member 27 fixed at one end H and having its free end adjacent one pole of a permanent magnet 25 which is mounted for snap movement by overcoming the magnetic attraction to the member 27 and is movable substantially parallel to the longitudinal extent of a reed contact unit 24. Depression of a plunger 18 effects rotation of a two-armed lever 23 about its pivot 23a against the bias of a compression spring 22. Movement of the magnet 25 on the lever 23 is opposed by the magnetic cantilever spring member 27. When the operating force is sufficient to disengage the magnet from the spring 27 the opposing force is quickly reduced and the magnet is moved to the contact operating position.
