Abstract

1276336 Shelf-serving apparatus DEMAGZUG GmbH 25 Sept 1969 [26 Nov 1968] 47284/69 Heading B8H Shelf-serving apparatus comprises a pair of adjacent load carriers 5 each mounted on an intermediate member 4 on a slide 3. The slides 3 are arranged for vertical movement along a column 1 mounted for movement along a rail 20 and guided by a guide rail 2a. The load carriers 5 may be jointly extended into a shelf A, e.g. to pick up a pallet, on either side of the gangway along which the column 1 may move. Threaded spindles 8 are rotated by belts 7 driven by a motor (not shown) to move each intermediate member 4 by means of a nut 9 attached thereto. Pulley systems 14, 15, 16 with traction elements 12 move the load carriers 5 with respect to their intermediate members 4. Each intermediate member 4 is provided with a reinforcement 4a which extends to the shelf when the intermediate member 4 is in its extended position.
