1,272,999. Tufted pile fabric. GLANZSTOFF A.G. 29 May, 1969 [30 May, 1968], No. 27289/69. Heading D1K. A tufted fabric comprises a gauze or leno woven backing fabric of synthetic yarns through which are inserted pile threads which are secured to the rear face of the backing by an adhesive layer. The backing may be woven from yarns of polyester, polyamide or polyacrylonitrile and the pile yarns may be of polyamide, polyester or polyacrylate.
