Abstract

1,272,068. Moulding reflectors. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. 23 Sept., 1969 [26 June, 1968], No. 30380/68. Heading B5A. [Also in Divisions B3 and G2] A mould for use in the production of reflector panels for road vehicles is itself produced by first stamping a series of rows of indentations in a steel plate, the indentations being of right triangular pyramid form and having imaginary bases in the form of equilateral triangles, the triangles being arranged as those with heavy shading in the top right corner of Fig. 1; having formed sufficient rows, the indenting tool is rotated through 180 degrees and a further series of rows are produced by indenting the untouched triangular portions between the indentations already formed. A transparent synthetic resin material may then be moulded to form a reflector having a flat front surface and a multifaceted rear surface as in Fig. 3 (not shown).
