Abstract

1,263,598. Sound insulation. LO SOUND DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. 19 Jan., 1971 [10 Dec., 1969], No. 60231/69. Heading F2X. In a sound absorbing sheet, a bituminousbased sound absorbing layer has, on one side, a heat sensitive adhesive compound and on the other side a film of a synthetic plastics material on which is superimposed a silicone coating. The sound absorbing sheets may be arranged in stacks without adhering together, as the adhesive compound will not adhere to the silicone. The sheets may be applied to vehicle metal body panels by means of the adhesive. The plastics material may be a polyester resin.
