Abstract

1,255,929. Safety harness. HARLEY PATENTS (INTERNATIONAL) Ltd. and F. B. HARLEY. 16 Dec., 1968 [19 Dec., 1967], No. 57580/67. Heading A3V. In a connector assembly, e.g. for safety harness in ejector seats, hooks 10, 11 are interconnected by a strap 45 secured at one end by a loop 40 to a bar 19 of a buckle 17 and which passes through slots in the hooks 11, 10 respectively, and then under and round a toothed roller 20 at the other end of the buckle, whereby when the free end 47 of the strap is pulled, the hooks 10, 11 are pulled towards one another. The slots in the hooks have U-shaped slipping plates around which passes the strap, and the buckle has, in addition, a spring biased movable anchorage (25), Fig. 1 (not shown), the arrangement being such as to allow tightening but prevent slackening of the strap as described in Specification 922,070. A webbing loop 32 is attached to the movable anchorage which, when pulled to the right, permits the strap to be released. The strap runs 34, 35, 36 are stitched together. (For Figure see next page)
