Abstract

1,253,781. Mixing apparatus. FILMFABRIK-WOLFEN VEB. 20 April, 1970, No. 18754/70. Heading B1C. Mixing apparatus for the continuous dispersion of a solid in a liquid comprises a vessel 20 separated by means of baffles 1, 2, 3 into compartments and a stirrer comprising a rotatable shaft 7 provided with toothed discs 8, 9, 10, 11 which are arranged to rotate in the compartments, the conical outlet 13 of the vessel being connected to a flexible tube 21 which is used for regulating the level of liquid in the vessel. The compartments may be connected by apertures 4, 5, 6 offset by 180‹ in relation to each other. Materials to be mixed may be added to the vessel through inlets 17, 18 and a container 14 may be provided at the bottom of the vessel to collect solid residues.
