Abstract

1,248,173. Knitting machines. V. SETTON. 9 March, 1970, No. 11271/70. Heading D1C. A circular knitting machine comprises a rotary needle cylinder and a non-rotary cam track cylinder having upper and lower cam rings defining a cam track therebetween and means for axially displacing the cam track cylinder so as to adjust the cam track relative to the needle cylinder. Grooves 12 between a bed plate 1 and the lower cam track section ring 3 have inclined surfaces at intervals in the base thereof so that a lower arm 19 of a member 16 rotatable relative to the bed plate by a handle 20 and interengaging teeth 17, 18 move and an inclined surface thereon can lift or lower the cam track relative to the needle cylinder. Means are provided to limit the rotation of the handle 20.
