Abstract

1,245,830. Animal feeds. E. H. FULTS and G. E. SANKO. 1 Jan., 1969, No. 27/69. Heading A2B. The physical and chemical characteristics of animal feeds are improved by applying to the feed an aqueous solution containing a lignosulphonate, an acid, preferably phosphoric acid, and a wetting agent, preferably an alkyl-aryl sulphonate or an ethylene oxide condensate. The process is particularly applicable to grain, which may thereafter be rolled to form flakes, preferably after cooking at 210-218‹F for 5-15 minutes.
