Abstract

1,242,016. Maintaining constant height of concrete blocks. SCHLOSSER & CO. G.m.b.H. 19 June, 1969 [21 June, 1968], No. 31196/69. Heading B5A. Pressed concrete blocks of constant height are made in a machine having a switch which switches off the machine attached to the pressing member and an actuating rod for the switch attached to the mould. As shown, the mould 5 is mounted on a platen 4 resting on vibratory table 3 supported by rubber buffers 2 and can be moved vertically by holding pins 6 and guide bushes 7 on posts 8 for removing a pressed block from the mould. The pressing member comprises a loading plate 9 with thrust plates 10 connected to it by thrust rods 11. A vertically adjustable measuring rod 17 is mounted on a rim flange 16 of the mould 5 and co-operates with a switch 20 on the loading plate 9 to deactivate the loading plate when the desired block height h is attained. In an alternative embodiment the measuring rod is formed from an insulating material and carries a metal plate which shorts the two poles of a switch when the desired block height is attained.
