Abstract

A film assemblage, intended for use in the camera of Fig. 1 (not shown), and shown in exploded view in Fig. 2 comprises a container holding a plurality of film units in stacked relation, which can be withdrawn one at a time through an opening at one end of the container, and also a sheet of opaque material which extends across the said opening. The assemblage is formed as a front section 14 and a rear section 16, flanges 28 on section 14 fitting within flanges 36 on section 16. Respective extensions 30 and 38 on the two parts co-operate to define a slot through which the film unit is withdrawn after exposure, which exposure is effected through an opening 24 in upper part 14. A number of tongues 46 are cut or pressed out of the bottom wall 34 of part 16, and act as springs for biasing the film units upwards. A sheet 18 of opaque material is positioned within the assemblage, below the film units, which are thus shielded against stray light entering the openings 44 from where the tongues 46 have been cut. The forward end of sheet 18 is bent into a number of sections 52, 50, 48, so that the front section 48 extends into the withdrawal slot between extensions 30 and 38, so closing it against stray light. Since sheet 18 is flexible, the sections 50, 48 will allow a film unit to be withdrawn when required, and the sloping configuration of section 50 will ensure that only the topmost film unit is withdrawn.
