1,137,283. Laminates. JAMES HALSTEAD (HOLDINGS) Ltd. 18 April, 1967 [16 March, 1966], No. 11409/66. Heading B5N. A floor covering comprises a wear-resistant facing sheet 10 of polyvinyl chloride, a resilient backing sheet 11, e.g. of polyvinyl chloride foam and an intermediate layer 12 of woven or knitted mesh of synthetic plastics material threads, e.g. of nylon or polyethylene terephthalate adhered to said facing and backing sheets. Specified threads are of nylon or polyethylene terephthalate. The facing sheet may be rendered fire-resistant by the inclusion therein of tricresyl phosphate and antimony oxide, may be provided with an inlaid or printed design and may have its surface moulded in shallow relief.
