Abstract
1,135,608. Spring devices combined with traction shackles. ZENTRALE ENTWICKLUNG UND KONSTRUKTION ZEK HYDRAULIK VEB. 6 May, 1966, No. 20168/66. Heading B7T. [Also in Division F2S] A spring device combined with a traction shackle 1, having differing tractive and compressive spring characteristics, comprises a spring housing 2 slidably supported in a traction shackle 1 and having an intermediate wall 2a, and two coaxial springs 3, 4 secured to the wall 2a, the spring 3 being secured to a fixed stop 5 and the spring 4 being secured to a stop plate 6 abutting against a fixed stop 7 and the end of the shackle 1, both springs being compressed when a compressive force is applied to the shackle, and only the spring 4 being compressed when a tractive force is applied to the shackle. In another embodiment, rubber springs 3<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>1</SP> are retained in a slidable housing 2<SP>1</SP> by rings 10, 11 secured to the housing and comprise plungers 8, 9 slidable in rings 12, 13 rigidly connected to the stop 5<SP>1</SP> and to the stop plate 6<SP>1</SP>. Liquidfilled damping chambers 3a<SP>1</SP>, 4a<SP>1</SP> are formed in the springs 3<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>1</SP> and are connected by parts 3b<SP>1</SP>, 4b<SP>1</SP> with chambers 8a, 9a in the plungers 8, 9, air compartments 8c, 9c being separated from the liquid in the chambers 8a, 9a by membranes or resilient bellows 8b, 9b.
