Abstract

1,129,935. Floating storage and loading vessel. WERF GUSTO v/h FIRMA A.F. SMULDERS N.V. 3 April, 1967 [12 April, 1966], No. 15066/67. Headings B7A and B7S. [Also in Division E1] In a floating device for loading or unloading a ship in open water, comprising a buoyant hull 1 and a rotatable body 5 supported in the vertical hole 4 of the hull, the rotatable body 5 is equipped with connections 10 and 11 for supply and discharge lines, the hull 1 is long enough to have a ship moored alongside, the rotatable body 5 has anchor chains 8 and anchorages 9 attached to it and the body 5 is adjustable vertically relative to the hull. In the embodiments described the hull contains tanks for the temporary storage of the material to be loaded or unloaded and the rotatable body 5 is buoyant and is located near the bow of the hull.
