Abstract

1,127,356. Twist-tubes. KUGELFISCHER GEORG SCHAFER & CO. 12 Aug., 1966 [10 Nov., 1965], No. 36094/66. Heading DID. A double twisting-spindle or tube apparatus for separately and simultaneously false-twisting two synthetic yarns enables the impartation at will of two right-hand twists, two left-hand twists or simultaneous right- and left-hand twists by a simple, manual change-over operation. A constructional unit comprising a base plate 1, mounting pairs of frictional driving and supporting rollers 2 and 3 with magnets 4 for maintaining twist-tubes 5 in effective control therewith, is pivotable to a limited extent about a pin 6 on a support 7 which is displaceable along a fixed bar 10. The plate is shifted or moved angularly on pin 6 into a secured position in which the whorls 19 of rollers 2, or the whorls of rollers 3, Fig. 4 (not shown) or the whorl of one roller 2 and the whorl of the roller 3 of the other pair. Fig. 7 (not shown) are engaged, under pressure of a spring, by an endless driving belt 15.
