Abstract

1,126,773. Break-spinning yarn. VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY. 10 Jan., 1966 [11 Sept., 1965], No. 1014/66. Heading DID. A method of break-spinning yarn from textile staple fibres in a spinning chamber with an inner smooth collecting surface, having the shape of a surface of revolution, the generatix of which is a smooth concave curve, and upon which a fibre ribbon is deposited, comprises withdrawing the yarn from the collecting surface substantially in a plane normal to the rotational axis of the spinning chamber so that the fibre ribbon is twisted on the collecting surface symmetrically with respect to the axis of the fibre ribbon, and with the direction of the angular velocity w s of the relative displacement (or motion) of the yarn withdrawing pointwith respect to the spinning chamber being the same as the direction of the angular velocity w k of the said spinning chamber.
