Abstract

1,120,061. Air heating stoves. A. H. MARSHALL. 15 Feb., 1966 [16 Feb., 1965], No. 6581/65. Heading F4S. An air heating stove in which air flows by convection from an inlet 12 to an outlet 13, comprises an inner chamber 10 in which the air is heated, and an outer chamber 11 containing gas burners 20. Heat conducting fins 16 extend into both chambers on each side of a dividing wall 17 whereby heat from the burners 20 is conducted by way of the fins to air flowing in the chamber 10. The burners 20 may be fired by liquid fuel or by gas in which case a device is provided to cut off the gas supply should the flame be extinguished. The chamber 11 has a flue 15 and a port 22 for access to the burner. The stove is intended for use in a boat or a caravan.
