Abstract

1,116,640. Anchor bolts. A. G. McCULLOCH. 4 Nov., 1965 [20 Nov., 1964; 14 May, 1965], No. 46804/65. Heading F2A. An anchor bolt comprises a portion of reduced diameter 12 intermediate its ends which is joined to a tapered portion 13 at its inner end, and a plurality of band segments 20 encircling the portion 12, each having inner and outer ears 21 and 22 respectively. The segments 20 are formed of a spring material and are of a greater radius than the portion 12. In Fig. 12 to 14, not shown, the segments are of less diameter at one end than the portion 12 and are of greater diameter at the other end. The segments may have an axial length greater than, less than, or substantially the same as the portion 12.
