Abstract

1,113,746. Multi-storey buildings. M. P. REINAUT. 3 Oct., 1966 [7 Oct., 1965], No. 44105/66. Heading E1A. In a multi-storey building comprising a skeleton framework 3, 4, 5 of vertical posts to which superimposed core units 2 of storey height are attached, each unit 2 has wall, floor, ceiling and partition panels such as 7, 11 hinged thereto which on assembly are unfolded and secured to the framework, to one another and to adjacent core units as appropriate. Each unit 2 contains service conduits for gas, electricity and water together with heating and ventilation means, ladder 27 and working platform 28. The panels may be provided with cupboards, doors, windows and service conduits as necessary and one or more subsidiary core units 32 may be incorporated in each storey. A metal floor structure supported on beams and incorporating heat and sound insulation is disposed between adjacent storeys.
