Abstract

1,108,820. Terminal blocks. COMPAGNIE GENERALE D'ENTREPRISES ELECTRIQUES. 30 Sept., 1965 [15 Oct., 1964], No. 41645/65. Heading H2E. A terminal block 10, is mounted on a rail 12 by exerting a force in the direction F4 shown in the Figure. The block is made of a flexible material, and at its lower end is formed with projections 14 and 18. Projection 18 is separated from the main body by a V-shaped slot 20, and has a convex outer surface. Flange 34 of the rail 12 is inserted above projection 14 and as a force is exerted flange 36 rides along the outer surface of projection 18 flexing said projection until it passes point 24 when the projection moves outwardly again until the flange 36 abuts surface 32 on the lower part of the main body. A slider 26 may clip over the outer surface of flange 18. If the terminal block is to be mounted in an aperture in a board, a flange is provided which extends outwardly of the main body portion and snaps into position behind the board.
