[Also in Division H2] A capless lamp bulb having an envelope 1 having an integral base 2 is formed with a channel-shaped groove 7 at the inner end of the base closely adjacent to the envelope to re ceive resilient gripping means in a lampholder in which the base is a sliding fit. The invention is applicable especially to lamps having a glass base of rectangular shape.
