Abstract
A single-phase solution comprises an aqueous solution of a cellulose ether, an acrylic acid/acrylamide copolymer, gum arabic or amine alginate, a water-immiscible organic liquid such as 2-ethoxyethyl-3-methoxy-methyl- or isopropyl glycol acetate and a water-mixible organic liquid which acts as a common solvent for the aqueous solution and acetate such as dimethyl formamide or isopropyl or tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol. The solution may also contain a dye, phosphoric or citric acid or a wetting agent and is used as a developer for exposed photosensitive materials (see Division G2).
