Abstract

1,191,291. Locating a glass on a bottle. R. G. DUNLOP. 4 Sept., 1968 [5 Sept., 1967], No. 40496/67. Heading B8D. A drinking glass 12 is mounted on a bottle 10 and is located by spacer members 18, 22 of soft thermoplastic material, papier mache &c. The spacer disc 18 fits over the bottle top or stopper 16 in the neck 14 of the bottle and comprises a thin flat disc 26 with radial ribs 28 with projections 30 to snap over the bottle top or the stopper therein. The spacer sleeve 22 comprises a sleeve 32 with an inwardly projecting annular flange 34 to engage with the neck, and with ribs 36, the bottom of which engage the shoulder of the bottle 20. The glass 12 may have a label 40 and a thermoplastic shrink wrapping 38 may be applied by an automatic wrapping machine.
