Abstract
117,872. Bolton, M. A., and Walker, A. Nov. 8, 1917. Coating.-Copper, brass, or like cathodes for the reception of detachable electrolytic deposits are coated with a waxy " sub-sulphide " film. In one method, a solution of ¢ oz, of paraffin wax in 1 gallon of petrol is treated with sulphuretted hydrogen and applied to the cathode. Evaporation leaves a coloured coating; a. black sulphide film should be avoided.
