Abstract

1,177,288. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. NATIONAL DISTILLERS & CHEMICAL CORP. May 3, 1967 [May 27, 1966], No.20579/67. Heading F1R. In a dispenser for removable attachment to a beverage container 10, CO 2 from a cartridge 32 is fed to the interior of the container through the annular channel 90 formed between the concentric tubes 85 and 86, under the control of a diaphragm operated pressure regulating valve 42, and beverage is dispensed from the container through the tube 86 and an outlet 71 under the control of a manually operable valve 63. The tubes 85 and 86 are mounted on a sleeve member 80 which is adjustably located on the cartridge containing body 30 to accommodate different locations of the container bung 11. A spring biased plunger 100 engages in recess 101 or 102 to locate the member 80. The biasing spring of the diaphragm 47 abuts an adjustable member 50 by means of which the force exerted by the spring may be adjusted to vary the pressure set by the regulating valve 42.
