Abstract

1,174,508. Envelope. ARVEY CORP. 18 Sept., 1967 [3 Oct., 1966], No. 42395/67. Heading B6A. An envelope blank 11 has a central panel 12 carrying a bottom flap 17 and two side panels 13, 14, one of which carries a sealing flap 22. An envelope with one sealable and one open-topped compartment is made by folding panel 13 over panel 12, panel 14 over panels 12 and 13 and flap 17 over the three panels, so that an adhesive strip 31 fastens it to panel 14. Adhesive strips 27, 28 hold the assembled envelope together and contact engagement of adhesive patches 29, 32 seals the pocket formed between panels 13 and 14 when desired. Cutting-away of panels 12 and 13 at 26 aids access to the open-top panel formed between them. The blank 11 may be of paper or of a plastics material.
