1,166,344. Guard rails. B. GOWSHALL. 7 May, 1968 [7 March, 1967], No. 10660/67. Heading E1B. [Also in Division D1] In a guard rail, having filler panels comprising tubular top and bottom members 9, 10 interconnected by rods or tubes 11 engaged in resilient bushes 13, 21 in apertures 12 in the facing surfaces of members 9, 10, the top and bottom rails are connected to brackets 7, welded on posts 6, by stainless steel pins 28 passing through holes in the rails and the brackets, the bushes 13 and 21 and the pins 28 allowing the rails to be slightly inclined to the horizontal. Resilient bushes 27 between pins 28, and the securing holes in the rails and brackets allowing angular displacement of the panels to follow a curve..
