Abstract

1,165,292. Forging presses. MASCHINENFABRIK HASENCLEVER A.G. 14 Feb., 1968 [25 March, 1967], No. 7160/68. Heading B3H. A forging press has its slide 3 reciprocated between columns 1 by an eccentric 5 through a pivot 7 engaging in a bearing surface 8 of the slide, the centre of curvature of the pivot and the bearing surface lying within the eccentric. The pivot 7, which may be cylindrical or spherical, is secured to an eccentric ring 6 which bears against a cross member 10 of the slide for effecting its retraction. Alternatively the pivot 7 may have a dovetail bearing surface which engages in a similar surface in the slide.
