Abstract

1,163,595. Meat product. D. TORR. 10 Oct., 1966, No. 45193/66. Heading A2B. Raw mammalian animal parts selected from meat and by products (including bone) are comminuted and mixed with whole pieces of raw mammalian meat, with vigorous thrashing to impact a substantial portion of the comminuted material into the surfaces of the whole pieces whereby a product comprising whole meat units integrally combined with comminuted material is obtained which is then pressed together to form a coherent food product. The product may be frozen or cooked. An edible salt may be applied to the surfaces of the whole pieces, preferably with mechanical working, prior to mixing with the comminuted material. An edible salt may also be mixed with the comminuted material.
