Abstract
1,161,865. Spray producers. RISDON MFG. CO. 15 June, 1968, No. 28618/68. Heading B2F. Spray heads for aerosol dispensers comprise a body 20 having provision for sealing it to a tubular valve stem 12, and having well opening 30 therein opening through an external surface and communicating 26 with the valve stem, and a nozzle insert 40 having a discharge orifice 44 .comlmiumcatmg with the well through a swirl chamber 56 defined by an annular wall constituting [part of the nozzle insert and projecting into the well and communicating with the well through at least one tangential slot in the annular wall. The insert may be made of plastics material and may have an annular extension making an interference fit with a corresponding recess in the body, or may be retained by a bead formed on the body. A 'peg 60 moulded in the back of may be .provided to modify the spray pattern.
