Abstract
1,161,400. Transformer windings. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 30 Nov., 1966 [30 Nov., 1965], No. 53564/66. Heading H1T. The windings of a transformer are made of insulated wire located in transverse annular grooves 3 on a bobbin 1, the width of each groove being substantially equal to the diameter of the insulated wire. Longitudinal slots 4, (5), as best depicted in Fig. 1 (not shown), intersecting the grooves 3 are provided to allow the passage of the winding wire from one groove 3 to the next. Insulating fibres 6, Fig. 4 (not shown), may be placed in the grooves to serve as spacers between the primary and secondary windings. An axial bore 2 in the bobbin contains a cylindrical member of a ferrite shell-type core.
