Abstract
1,142,776. Electrolytic radio-active decontamination. S. RAVIV, E. RABINOVITZ and S. MALKIELY. Sept.18, 1967, No.42357/67. Heading C7B. Radio-actively contaminated equipment is electrolytically decontaminated using an electrolyte of 1N-9N nitric acid, making the equipment the cathode in the electrolytic circuit and allowing electric current to flow until the desired decontamination is achieved. The anode used may be of platinum.
