Abstract

A stop motion comprises a reed 10, a probe 18 which detects vibrations in the reed 10 caused by broken yarns or by surface irregularities in the yarns, and a transducer 15 which converts the vibrations into electrical signals which are then filtered and passed to an amplifier to stop the warping machine.
