[Also in Division B8] A metering valve for dispensing a predetermined quantity of a pressurised liquid comprises a measuring chamber 1 in which a valve member 2 is adapted, in one position, to normally seal an outlet 3 and unseal an inlet 4, and, in another position, to seal the inlet and unseal the outlet, the valve having deformable surfaces 6, 7 such that the outlet is unsealed by the surface 6 only after the surface 7 has sealed the inlet and been deformed thereagainst. The measuring chamber 1 is mounted in a cap member 13 secured to the top of a pressurised container and provided with a seal 9 through which a spindle 8 connected to the valve projects.
