Abstract

1,035,845. Electromagnets. TECHNICAL COMPONENTS (WEYBRIDGE) Ltd. April 24, 1964 [March 27, 1963], No. 12189/63. Heading H1P. The plunger F of an electromagnet has a sliding fit directly in the hollow sleeve A of a non-magnetizable hard-wearing, synthetic plastics bobbin moulded in one piece with terminal flanges B, and the bobbin together with a winding C thereon are on opposite sides enclosed by a yoke D having a central polepiece E projecting into one end of the sleeve. The plastic may be nylon or P.T.F.E., the sleeve and plunger are of rectangular cross-sections, and the yoke and/or plunger may be laminated.
