Abstract
1,034,176. Electromechanical filters. KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOKO RADIO COIL KENKYUSHO. April 11, 1963 [April 14, 1962], No. 14516/63. Heading H3U. In order to eliminate spurious responses in an electromechanical filter comprising resonant rectangular plates, the length a of these plates is selected to be more than twice, and preferably more than three times, their width b. The filter consists of two or more plates 1, 2 coupled together by one or more coupling elements 3, the whole filter being made from a single sheet of e.g. aluminium alloy. The end plates carry thin electroded transducers 4, 5 of electrostrictive ceramic material. The length d of the coupling elements is preferably made smaller than b and the width is selected from the range a/8 to a/12.
