Abstract
1,032,670. Rotary-piston I.C. engines. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Jan. 19, 1965 [March 19, 1964], No. 2224/65. Heading F1F. A rotary-piston I.C. engine of epitrochoidal type, as described comprising a three-sided piston planetarily rotatable within a stationary casing having an inner profile of bi-arcuate epitrochoidal configuration, includes on each piston side a plurality (two) recesses and an equal number of associated ignition devices (spark-plugs), which simultaneously ignite the fuel air mixture in the recesses in a piston side, as the recesses pass their associated ignition devices.
