Abstract

1,031,653. Gas-blowing lances. DER DILLINGER HUTTENWERKE A.G. Oct. 19, 1964 [Oct.23. 1963], No. 42574/64. Heading F4B. A gas-blowing lance comprises concentric steel tubes 1, 2 and 3 defining an outer water jacket 7, 9 and an inner gas supply pipe, and a copper nozzle tip 4 formed with a ring of diverging ports 12 and an end recess 13 with a central port 14. The nozzle is attached to the inner and outer tubes by soldered stepped joints 5 and 6 respectively. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), an additional central pipe supplies eyes, e.g. Or+Nr, to the central port only, another gas, e.g. Or, being supplied to the ring ports.
