Abstract

1,029,821. Reels. H. C. B. ANGUS Ltd. Feb. 21, 1963 [Feb. 22, 1962], No. 6868/62. Heading B8M. A hose reel comprises a drum 3 rotatably mounted in a support structure, and a distributer 18 comprising a hollow plug 22 positioned within a bore of a distributer body 15 which projects from the drum through a bearing 11 in the support structure. The plug is screw-thread at 29 to a liquid supply pipe and has ports 26 communicating with a supply passage 17 connected to the inner end of the hose. Resilient O-rings 28 seated in the plug act as liquid seals. The hub G is fixed at one end by means of a pin 14 to the body 9, and at the other end has a shaft turning in a bearing similar to bearing 11 (cf. Specification 1,026,537).
