Abstract

102,510. Davis, H. N., and Twigg, W. R. Jan. 3, 1916. Atmospheric gas burners.-Relates to burners for gas-fires, of the kind comprising a lower body portion or mixing-chamber a divided by an horizontal baffle-plate e into an upper and a lower chamber, a cover portion b having interconnected burner nozzles c, and a gauze or perforated partition d clamped between the body and cover portions. The burner nozzles c are arranged in a straight line above the baffle-plate e, which is provided with holes f in staggered relationship to the nozzles. The nozzles are interconnected by passages b<2> above the gauze d. In the duplex form shown in Fig. 4, the nozzles are divided into two sets by partitions, the central set being supplied by an inlet pipe g<1>, and the two end sets by an inlet pipe g<2>.
