Abstract
102,028. Moon, C. T. July 18, 1916. O p e n i n g - arrangements.-Apparatus for supporting butter and lard tubs, pickle jars, &c., which may be used beneath grocery-store and other counters, comprises an horizontally swinging support 10 for the receptacle R and a cover 11, which is raised automatically by a cam when the support is moved laterally. In the construction shown. the support 10 is carried by a collar 7 vertically adjustable on a shaft 6 turning in bearings 1, 3 on a wall S beneath a counter C. The cover 11 is carried by a slide 13 mounted on the shaft. When the receptacle is swung or twards, a pin 14 on the slide, engaging a stop 15 on the bracket 1, prevents lateral movement of the lid, which is raised by a cam 17 on the shaft engaging a pin 16 on the slide.
