Abstract
1,015,372. Pipe couplings. A. SCHON, [trading as RIETSCHEL & HENNEBERG.]. Oct. 9, 1962 [Oct. 10, 1961], No. 38207/62 Heading F2G. [Also in Division F4]. The ends of sections 10, 11 of horizontal heating pipes in a dwelling, preferably rectangular in section so that they fit in the corner between wall and floor, are connected by a bridging pipe 12 which is screwed on to threaded nipples 14, 16 projecting from the sides of the pipe sections near their closed ends. Instead of the bridging pipe being U-shaped, Fig. 1, it may comprise a short straight pipe length with an elbow at each end. In another modification an elbow may be welded to each of the sections 10, 11 and these elbows connected by a sleeve having left-handed and right-handed screw threads. Fig. 5, which is a sectional plan through an outside wall 24 and inside walls 25, shows four ways in which the bridging pipes 27, 28, 29, 30 may be disposed, the pipe 30 entering a cavity in the floor.
