Abstract
1,006,145. Photometric arrangements. NIPPON KOGAKU K.K. April 22,1964, No. 16672/64. Heading G1A. [Also in Division G2]. In a photometric device of the type in which a photosensitive cell energises a moving coil galvanometer, static friction effects are overcome by connecting an oscillator circuit to the galvanometer to superimpose an alternating current upon the direct current through the coil. The current from battery B flowing through galvanometer G is controlled in accordance with ambient brightness by the CdS photoresistor R t . Superimposed on this current is a small amplitude A.C. from an oscillator O energized from battery B. Photoresistor R t may be replaced by a photovoltaic cell, fig. 2, (not shown) in which case the battery powers only oscillator O. The galvanometer may be coupled to diaphragm blade to control the exposure in a photographic camera.
