Abstract
1,096,319. Suspension unit accumulators. MOULTON DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. Aug. 19, 1966 [Aug. 20, 1965], No. 35786/65. Heading F2S. [Also in Division F1] The variable volume chamber of an hydraulic accumulator, e.g. for an hydraulic vehicle suspension system, is formed by a pair of frustoconical metal cups 52 having their wider open ends adjacent and facing each other and having their outer side walls bonded to a thick annular resilient rubber body 53 which in turn is bonded to the inner surface of a tubular metal housing 51 which is tapered from the middle to its ends; one or both cups having an axial supply and exhaust conduit 55 secured thereto. The housing may be made in two halves as shown, or may be a unitary component, Fig. 1 (not shown).
