Abstract
1,095,507. Forage harvesters. S. G. WOOFFITT and W. S. D. NEWTON. Sept. 6, 1966 [Aug. 13, 1965], No. 34683/65. Heading A1F. The rotor of the forage harvester described in Patent number 995,460 is characterized in that the forward movement of the cutting elements 34 about pivots 33 is restrained by a tension rod 36 having an adjustable buffer 43. In an embodiment the cutting element has a limit stop which engages the rotor body 27 to restrainits forward movement. The apparatus can be used for topping beet or pulverising haulm.
