Abstract
1,093,788. Television. RANK ORGANISATION Ltd. Aug. 12, 1966 [Sept. 10, 1965], No. 38797/65. Heading H4F. In a multi-camera television system, e.g. a closed circuit television system, synchronization between the cameras is obtained by feeding the line and field synchronizing pulses from the line and field drive circuits in one of the cameras (the master camera) to the synchronizing oscillators of the other cameras (slave cameras) via respective synchronizing feed lines and resistive splitters. The system is essentially a random interlace system and for accurate phasing the signal delay in each synchronizing feed circuit is arranged to be identical. The Specification states that if suitable circuits are chosen for the synchronizing oscillators in the cameras, it can be arranged for the multi-camera system to operate in a non-locked condition if the master oscillators or the synchronizing feed lines from the camera providing the master oscillators fails.
