A scraper bar of the kind connected by a stirrup bolt 8 to a link 6b of the scraper chain, as described in Specification 939,701, is characterized by the stirrup bolt 8 having a longitudinally extending centrally-disposed shoulders 4, 5. The latter limit the sag of the adjacent links 6a, 6a of the chain as shown in Fig. 2.
